Its colourful appearance offers an escape from hectic Allenby Street, which runs parallel to Nachalt Binyamin and is of a much noisier and busier character. Nachalt Binyamin is especially known for its weekly arts and crafts market that’s been an integral part of the street’s livelihood since it opened in 1988. Every Tuesday and Friday, the street transforms into a creative cluster of local artists selling and showcasing an array of their creations from stained glass mezuzahs and handmade jewellery to beautifully carved wooden boxes.
